Heather has been a part of our practice for almost 13 years. She graduated from AB Tech with a dental assisting degree and came to work here in 2004. In 2013, she left the “back” and became our office manager. Heather views her coworkers and patients as family and loves coming to work every day, yes this is true! When she is not at work, she can be found riding motorcycles with her awesome husband, Jesse, or hanging out with their three kids. However, if Heather had to pick her own hobby, it would have to be shopping!
Martha has been greeting patients with a welcoming smile and enjoying getting to know them better at our practice for the past 20 years! She comes to us with an accounting degree, which makes her our “numbers” person. She is your go to if you have a question about your bill. Life is an adventure with her awesome family, husband David of 35 years and 3 children. Ellen is 24 (engaged to be married), Addison is 18 (starting college), and Elisa is 12 (new to middle school). They have lots of chickens and tons of honey bees on their “mini farm.” You may find them at the tailgate market or other places around town selling their local award winning honey! They love going to new and exciting places together (if there is any time left over)!
Treatment Planning Coordinator
Teresa is our Treatment and Financial Coordinator. She has been building friendships around our office for the last 20 years. She takes care of a little bit of everything for us, which is why you may hear her referred to as “Momma T.” Teresa goes above and beyond to see that our patients fully understand their treatment options and that we are as accommodating as possible. She has been married to her best friend Rick for 40 years now! They have 3 wonderful children that have blessed them with 4 of the best grandchildren; Tyler, Miranda, Connor, and Lilee. When she is not in the office, you can often find her in the kitchen baking or out in the back yard gardening, as well as spending time with her grandchildren and loving family.
New Patient Coordinator
Erica will greet you with her warm smile as you enter our office. She joined our team earlier this year and has been a great addition. She will be happy to help you address any of your dental needs when you call or come in. Erica and her husband are natives to Henderson County and reside here with their two daughters, Gracie and McKenna. When Erica is not at the office she enjoys spending time with her girls and photography.
Jessica is our Hygiene Coordinator. She has been with our practice for 3 years now. You will more than likely recognize her sweet voice from her answering the phone or when she calls to confirm your appointment. She works with our hygienist on scheduling and making sure they have all of the necessary products to provide our patients with the best care possible. She is your go to gal for your products and scheduling needs. Jessica and her husband, Brandon, just welcomed their third child, Lee, in October of 2017. They have 2 other children, Lily-Mae and Brenton. As a family they like spending their weekends at the lake. You can find them at the ball field in the spring and the fall, and on occasion you can catch Lily-Mae in a barrel race or two at Sugar Ridge Arena.
Hygiene Department Head
Melissa enjoys patient care and performing the “best” cleaning experience so much that she has been a full time hygienist for 27 years! She has been providing both of these efforts for our practice for almost 15 years! One of the best things about her is that she places her faith and family first in everything she does. She has 2 teenagers (13 and 15), a 25 year old son, and wonderful husband of almost 23 years. If she is not here, she can be found with her family and volunteering in the community!
This dental practice has been Margaret’s home for 18 years. She loves her coworkers and is dedicated to her patients. She likes to stay ahead of her treatments and technologies in dental hygiene. This year has brought a lot of changes to her family life. Since her last child has gone to college, she has an empty nest. Margaret enjoys an active life style with her husband of biking, hiking and traveling. She enjoys spending time with her friends and 2 dogs, Luna and Taco.
Born and raised in Hendersonville, Amanda graduated from East Henderson High School, then went on to AB Tech where she graduated from both the dental assisting program and the hygiene program. They have a five year old son, Lane, who always keeps them on their toes. They are all huge Clemson Tiger fans and enjoy watching them play during football season. Lacie enjoys running and taking care of her goats and chickens!
Alicia moved to WNC when she was 7, so the mountains are basically home. She attended AB Tech for dental assisting from 2006-2007 and then gained a year of work experience before going back to complete their Dental Hygiene program in 2010. She most recently received her Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from ETSU to continue her education. She joined our team in April of 2017 and we are truly grateful for it! In her spare time, Alicia loves hiking, running, walking her dog, swimming, well pretty much anything outside. She also enjoys going new places and trying the different restaurants and breweries around town and the surrounding areas.
Cherry has been a part of our practice a little over a year now and we are so happy to have her. She was born and raised in the Philippines, where she was a dentist! Cherry moved to the United States in 2002. She graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at AB Tech in 2011. Cherry resides in Polk county with her husband, Scott, and two teenage boys, Alex and Topher. When she isn’t busy at the office, you can find her on a soccer field watching both her boys play!
Dental Assistant Department Head
Kim graduated from the dental assisting program at AB Tech in 2009 and has been with our office since 2013. She is married to her hard working, handyman husband, Nathan, and has two beautiful children, Derek and Olivia. One funny thing about Kim is that she names her kids after celebrities, ie Derek Jeter and her country music star crush, Jake Owen’s daughter. We promise she is not a creeper! Kim stays busy with her kids being involved in numerous sports. In her free time she enjoys going to the lake with her family, biking, and all things pasta!
Marjie completed the dental assisting program at AB Tech in 1979 and also the cosmetology program at Blue Ridge Community College in 2012. Marjie has been an asset to our office for 20 years! Diane is a new addition to our office after moving here from Florida to be near her parents. “Since being in dentistry for 38 years, I have seen many changes in dentistry and have enjoyed the new challenges that brings.” Sailing, kayaking and any water sport has been a favorite way to spend time relaxing. Diane also enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and walking her two dogs, Hannah and Sadie.
Shayna joined Hendersonville Family Dental in April, 2018. She is originally from New Hampshire and graduated from the dental assisting program at New Hampshire Technical Institute in 2013. In the pursuit of milder winters, Shayna and her husband decided to relocate to western North Carolina in 2015. Immediately they fell in love with everything WNC had to offer and decided to call Hendersonville their home. In her free time, Shayna enjoys hiking, biking, gardening and spending time with her wonderful husband Patrick and their yellow lab Maverick.
