There are a few things you can count on when you first visit Hendersonville Family Dental. As we know all to well, meeting a new dentist or coming for the first time can be a little daunting. We have made a list of what to expect in hopes it makes your first visit with us that much easier!
What to Expect at Hendersonville Family Dental
-
Forms, Forms, Forms
We try to not make them too overwhelming, but there are some things we need to know and some things the state wants you to sign. We provide these forms for you to fill out online before your appointment, or you can arrive at your appointment 15 minutes early, and our New Patient Coordinator can help you fill them out in our office.
-
What to Bring?
ID, Insurance Card, any x-rays or records you may have from your previous dentist.
-
X-Rays
Your hygienist or assistant will greet you, get to know you, and then take pictures of you. We need these x-rays so our dentists can better care for you. Don’t worry though, we have the latest technology in digital x-rays, so they are perfectly safe! However, if you have current x-rays, please bring them with you, or have them emailed to our office. That will make your visit with us even quicker.
-
Cleaning
If you are not here for a dental emergency, the next step in the process would be a teeth cleaning performed by one of our hygienists. They will go over your medical history with you and any concerns you may have. They will also give you an assessment of their professional opinion of your oral health and home care. Our hygienists at Hendersonville Family Dental are the best and most thorough around!
-
Dr. Exam
You’ve reached that time in your appointment when the doctor and their assistant will meet you. The doctor will do a thorough examination of each tooth, gums, and review all x-rays with you. They will listen and answer any questions or concerns you may have, and then make their own recommendations of treatment, if needed.
-
Time to Go!
After your exam is completed, you will walk up front and meet with our Hygiene Coordinator if no treatment is needed, or our Treatment Coordinator, if there has been a course of treatment recommended by the doctor. Both will help you schedule your next visit with us. We hope that you will then walk out having an excellent experience and full confidence in your new dental practice, Hendersonville Family Dental in North Carolina.
